and Klaus Dinger lovers have to be
told that on this new CD the band 'consulted'
K.D., and he have them his 'efforts and
advice', and that's about it. DwD are a
four piece, this whole album consists of
mainly songs, each one recorded in one day ...
oh, it's different, they're slightly weird.
Their basic formula is to create minimal
slightly discordant pop tunes, and then wack a
guy on vocoder over the top, or maybe he's
telephoning in his contribution. One of the
secrets of success is to juxtapose beauty and
ugliness, so after the too-long/tuneless
'A Delusion', comes the lovely brief music-strum of ´True Magic´.
But really, these guys
maybe needed either a lot more tunes, or a
lust to go a lot further out into experimental
waters. They needed more from Klaus than just
a piece of advice, they needed him actually
in the studio. WE NEED KLAUS DINGER."
